Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as an anchor for morning news for WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. Her reporting of the ineffective police response in response to DUI cases in Charleston caused an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston working as a journalist and co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving over to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. In addition to her current role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
